The Giants just released Mike Barrow....should the Vikings pick him up?[Beer]

If the price is right he would fit in the mix.

He's a middle LB, we don't need another old MLB, if Biekert's staying forget about Barrow.

If they go 3-4 you have Claiborne and they should take D.J. Williams in the draft at OLB...and then Barrow and Henderson in the middle...[:D] Just a thought!

They don't need Barrow. They've got a good veteran MLB in Biekert and Henderson will be a good starter this year.

why not get Barrow and move him to OLB? Im no genious when it comes to how a defense is run but how hard can it be to make that transition from MLB to OLB?

He's 34, but I think he can help us for 2 years and retire after it. He's a great MLB and that would really upgrade our defense.Biekert is too bad to start. He should retire now and E.J. should move to OLB!

He led the Giants in tackles the past 2 years. He is indeed a very good MLB, but he would come at a high price.
With Biekert on the verge of retirement, Barrow wouldn't be a bad pickup at all - he would definitely add some skill to our defence.
However, if we can pickup some decent LB depth in the draft, then signing Barrow could pretty much be just a waste of money.
