Hello,

I passed thru this board a few times while searching for news and latest updates on the Vikings. Great site! It's about time I signed up and introduced myself; instead of just sponging information of you guys.

My quick bio... spent my childhood in ND and MN. Moved to northern California in the mid-80's where I had to endure the 49er dynasty. All my friends were Niner fans (a couple for the Raiders) while I was the guy in the front of the TV yelling for the Vikings.

Now living in San Diego where I got to see for the Vikings for the first time; Vikes lost to the Chargers in 04', but I was still happy to see them play. Hmmm.. I've shed tears twice in my adult life: once when my daughter was born and the other time was the 98' NFC Championship game. Not really the sensitive type, but I will admit to you right now that I will cry like a BABY when the Vikes finally win the Super Bowl! Looking fwd to a very successful season.

Welcome! Yes, the '98 loss was harder on me than watching them lose four SBs for some reason. It seemed like a lock that year.

I think we would have fared better against Denver than Atlanta did.. who looked like headless chickens out there. No use reflecting on what could of been and focuse on the future.. let's get ready to rumble in '05 baby.

Thank you everybody. 98' was bad, and I have tell myself that the 2000 game never happened --- it was just a dream. Those two games in particular have really humbled me... that's why when the big day comes it will be so much sweeter!

Aug 26th will be a war zone in my household; my wife is a huge Chargers fan. Whoa.. how ironic is that: Aug 26th is my daughter's 2 year birthday and it's under debate if she's a Chargers or Vikings fan. Maybe we will let the outcome of that game decide. lol

Welcome! Don't worry... we all cried in '98. And don't anyone go and say you didn't.

I was also at the Chargers-Vikings game, so I know that there are plenty of so-cal Vikings fans out there.

It's good to see the west-coast increasing it's presence here.

It's hard to weep when you're in a total state of shock. I thought it was all a dream before the game would actually begin..

I felt like that after the cardinals game. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't sad I just was astonished. I was ready to wake up and go to the playoffs.

Grew up in Fargo, and spent a year in E. Grand Forks before heading for the west coast.

I too am still sad about those losses. Yet, the game that is freshest in my mind is the one where we shredded Favre

Exactly. After breaking out of the shock of what I just had witnessed I broke a few things, but I didn't cry! When we win the superbowl, I will probably cry, or be really really drunk and pass out!! lol
