View Full Version : A question regarding Randy Moss

Randy Moss dedicated his life to football in the offseason of the 2002 season, and it showed. He came out this year with fire in his eyes, playing to win - but not as an individual, as a team player. And it worked. Second in the league in receiving yards, a 5 TD lead on even Torry Holt, and a host of helpful downfield blocks and uplifting huddle pep talks.

But after going 6-0 and making Gus Frerrote look like a superstar, the season went south, ending with a failed defensive stop vs., of all people, the Arizona Cardinals.

How much can one man take? How hard can one man work and still fail? Does Randy Moss want - and more importantly, deserve - to end up like Dan Marino? How long before Moss reaches the boiling point - being the best WR in the league (F-ck a Torry Holt, kid can't do jack if the play breaks down, he's a route runner) with perhaps only Marvin Harrison challenging him.

How long before we get him some help? And if that doesn't happen, how long before he gives up on the Vikings? It's a question that worries me - we the fans deserve better of our Vikings, yes, but Moss too deserves better.

I know Moss isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but discouraged players don't play hard. Whaddaya guys think?
