I hope no more numbers are retired. The Ring of Honor should be good enough. Chuck should be up there, Steve Jordan, John Randle, Randall McDaniel, among others. Randy will be up there eventually. He played 7 years of uncomparable ball here.

Skol, correct me if I am wrong (cause you would know) isn't the Ring of Honor different than the retired numbers. I thought it was, I don't know. Here are the retired numbers:

Minnesota
Fran Tarkenton 10
Mick Tingelhoff 53
Jim Marshall 70
Korey Stringer 77
Alan Page 88
Cris Carter 80

Now, the number I think should be up there is McDanials number. He was one of the greatest Lineman ever to play. He made the Pro Bowl more than any other player, every year except his rookie year. This guy does not get the attention that he deserves.

It has to be R. McDaniel. 11 Pro Bowls in 12 years with the Vikes. I don't think that anyone left compares to that.

12 Pro Bowls in the 13 years he played. He dominated and is one of the best ever. Shoe-in for the HoF!

I just don't like the retired number thing..., but that's just me. Absolutely McDaniel should be next though.

Paul Krause (all-time INT leader), Ron Yary (9-10 Pro Bowls), and Randall McDaniel (11-12 Pro Bowls) should all be up there someday!

The dilemma is, we have so many deserving players in our eyes, that if we were to put all them up the Ring of Honor would not be so elite; even though the deserve it.

I think Red should get a spot on the ring of fame! *ducks flying fruit*
I was just kidding! Seriously! Ah! Here comes Caine with the lynch mob!

Joey Browner was dominating. Along with his cohorts Keith Millard and Chris Doleman. But Browner for sure.

I would say Moss, not because he is most deserving, but I don't think I could take another player wearing 84

The Ring Of Honor is reserved for the best players in the franchise, however, retiring of numbers is exclusively for the best of the best of the best.

With all those #'s to retire the Vikes will have to switch to 3 digit uniform numbers
