News from the Vikings developmental camp this week, from KFAN:

First Round pick Troy Williamson was a bright spot Monday, looking sharp after a sub-par performance at last months mini-camp. He made several nice catches, including the catch of the day as practice wound down. Williamson streaked by second-year corner Brandon Pinderhughes, leapt up with one hand to tip the ball away from the covering safety, and brought the ball down with two hands as he hit the ground. The reception brought cheers from the offensive coaches and players, who had been flustered by the aggressive defense, as well as the aggressive mouth of Smoot for much of practice.

Yay! It's good to see two things in that post- first that maybe Williamson's mini-camp blunders may have been due to "deer in headlights" syndrome or just a bad week, and secondly that the defense was frustrating the offense. That hasn't happened in a while. Plus its always good to hear Smoot running his mouth. I hope he gets mic'd for some TV games this year. That would be great.

im going to like the fact that when we go sit down in front of our t.v.'s to watch the vikings play, we can watch the defense actually help the vikings to a big win, instead of the offense doin all the work!
