Hello!!! Ended up in Iowa after a stint in the military... and as you all know Iowa s*&ks. Originally from Mankato and still make it to training camp every year. Played some division 2 football at St. Cloud State and live and die with the Vikes every year.
As for my thoughts on the vikes this year I am excited about the changes on defense, and probably more excited about the change at offensive coordinator. It was easy to see how Scott L. fell in love with the quick strike offense, but I think you are going to see with Loney that along with a little more ball control via the run, the offense will remember how to run screens and short control passes other than that one step drop pass to Moss. Offensive lineman love to get out on the screen and annihilate corners and safeties... This will only help the defense more as the offense will spend more time on the field and still be just as effective. Our stable of running backs will be best used if we get numerous touches out in the flats, where they can make a move. Think about it... how many times have you said, they scored too quickly? Mewelde may well be the second coming of Ricky Young! And as for the needs in the draft, I would like to see Mike Williams, the best linebacker remaining at 18, and then offensive lineman and after that best available. By the way, I come from a family of Packer fans... God dmn, I am looking forward to the season!!!!
