The proof is there, he just chooses to deny it. PFW weekly does a draft redo this time of the year. Placing players where they should have gone after their rookie campaign. Guess where our two first round picks ended up? Barr was the first overall pick to the Texans and Bridgewater was the third pick. Not bad Ricky!!

Haha.... I choose to deny what? We got Matt Kalil, a LT that will probably be off the team next season. Harrison Smith is good, no denying that.

Tark, you're referencing a different draft that the article is even talking about.

You live in a land of hypothetical scenarios. Ricky's already won us the 2016 Super Bowl, right?

I am just telling you that people who analyze professional football and are professionals themselves believe Spielman is a very GM, I think I will take their word for it and not yours.

Good for them! Hopefully it results in wins soon and not just some no-name writer singing his praise in the Yahoo! finance section.

(FYI... the article is from Business Insider, which is essentially a click-bait site. Congrats.)

8 wins baby and you will have to sing the praises of Ricky!! WoooHOOOO, let the season begin!!!

Once again, that's the difference between you and I. You think an 8-8 season will prove you right and Spielman will finally be anointed as a great GM.... whereas I want a GM that will build a winning franchise for years to come.

Pretty sure me using that sig is more important to you than the Vikings winning, at least every post of yours points to that.

I do like that you shifted away from that article once I pointed out what a hack-job it was. Smart move.

Was that the argument? Then sure... let's be satisfied with losing seasons as long as some other team is making worse draft picks then us.

And stop with the "go root for the packers" nonsense. Grow the f*ck up. Simply pointing out where we need to improve and weaknesses of our GM doesn't mean I'm not a fan.

your wrong on a lot of stuff though the biggest thing we need to do is come of age with a lot of very young personal that will naturally get better. Teddy, Floyd, Rhodes, H Smith, A Barr are on their way to being some of the very best players in the NFL at their respective position. Ev Griff is one of the best at his position. Fusco, Loadholt, Sullivan are a solid bunch. Wallace will stretch the field. Rudolph is solid. Linval Joseph is solid, I like Hodges as an every down player. Like Cole as good depth. Josh Rob played much better last year and if they draft a QB Josh Rob is a fantastic 4th CB to have. We are a team ascending. Make no mistake about it.

No other team in the NFL can say they have some of the best young players at QB, DT, CB, LB... WE Do. We need to let them grow up a little and naturally the results of the team will get better. It does not happen over night.

Those are players put in place by none other then the man you love to hate Slick Rick Spielman.

now run along cheese head :haha:

Now roll out the Harvin trade and well Rick did some good horse trading there.... he may not have build the Eagles dream team in free agency but well that team didn't get a SB either but really winning a SB has more to do with cheating than a flashy GM, Steeler and Raider steroids, Cowboy pushoff, spygate, bountygate, ballgate, cheat carroll adderallgate

We have more arrests than any other team you would think that would get us to the Super Bowl. LOL

You know it...

Crowdsourced Philanthropy: If You Ain't Cheatin', You Ain't Tryin'

George Weiner
Al Davis, the owner of 1970s Raiders was willing to do anything and everything to win. He (allegedly) bugged the visiting team's locker room, watered the field to slow faster teams down, spied by helicopter, and used dirty pile tactics. The Raiders dirty reputation inspired Glenn Dickey to write Just Win, Baby, a book dedicated to Al Davis' approach to the game.

"If you ain't cheatin', then you ain't tryin' " still rings true in football today. Coaches still cover their mouths with their playbooks when talking for fear of lip readers on the other team and any player not on steroids is at a disadvantage. A little bendiness is apparently part of the unwritten rules of the game.

I really don't understand C Mac's "if we don't win the superbowl, Speilman sucks" attitude. With that as your benchmark, there were 31 shitty GMs last year... and there will be 31 more THIS year.
