Currently the Vikings are 100/1 to win it all. There are only 2 other teams that have worse odd than we do (Jacksonville and Oakland).http://sports.yahoo.com/news/updated-super-bowl-odds-163120457--nfl.html

Depends who's taking the bets I guess. The ones I saw had the Vikings a little further from the bottom.

Well hope that the coaching led by Zimmer will help out. And will get the team on the right road to winning.

It does depend where you look. After the draft some sites updated and some didn't. The ones that did had the Vikings jumping up and improving their odds after their draft.

The over/under on total wins for this year is at 6.5 How does everyone feel about that? Over or under?

Jon Gruden ... though he had coached before.

George Seifert and Don McCafferty are the only rookie head coaches to win

Ill take the over.. I see us possibly going from worst to first in our division. We already had some good talent on this roster. Now with some good coaching, and rookie additions. We are poised to have a big rebound year. We went 3-13 in 2011 then to 10-6 in 2012. Of course A.P. was responsible for the 10-6 season. But I see really good things in our future. Go Vikes!!!

Those guys all inherited a much better team than Zim. I would put Zimmer at the top of that list if he takes this Vikings team to a SB victory in his first year.

No Johnny Unitas, no Joe Montana... but we do have a Brad Johnson or two on the roster.

I come up with 6-10 but there are so many games that can go either way. I optimistically split with the Lions, Bears & Pukers and has us beating TB and Miami away from home. You guys know how we do away from home. All our away games are pickems except for No and the Rams (losses IMO). I think the Rams are going to be very good this year. We could end up 4-12 or 10-6 so I will go with the over just because I think Zimmer wins one more than everybody thinks!!

This is what 3 years of Rick Spielman as a GM will get you (8 years total FO management)... 100:1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

So, are we still rebuilding?

50:1 after drafting your boy Teddy.

I think we'll be 8-8 or 9-7. We have a tough schedule, as well as new offensive and defensive schemes. That being said, I think the guys will be playing hard for the new staff (I think they were playing hard for the old staff, too), but the superior schemes and coaching will help offset all of the changes.

If nothing else, I think it's safe to expect our defense to be a little more respectable.

Winning those games late last year may not have helped our draft slot, but showed the team did not quit on Frazier despite of how all the injuries and losses piled up. I think we've got a real good fit here, work ethic wise, going from Frazier to Zimmer, and backed up with the personality of our star player, Peterson. His determination and will to work, despite his incredible natural gifts, is a terrific personality for our team to emulate, and something most of these vets have been soaking up for years.

Part of last year's defensive collapse was injuries and another part was turnovers by the offense...I'm not saying they're great, but definitely better than their season totals indicate. With a new (assuming improved) scheme and a bit of luck on the health side, this defense just might be quite good, as in top ten or better year 1.

I think your estimate is about right. New schemes also helps in that there isn't any tape on how they like to play yet, and like our 10-6 team of a year past, we'll have good enough special teams + defense + running game to keep most games close and even pull out a couple of Ws that nobody sees coming, kinda like when we took it to the 49ers week 3 of 2012.

At this point an 8-8 or 9-7 would seem like a huge win. Pretty sad isn't it? Hopefully lightning will strike and we leap out to a 10-6.

From what I can see, it's still 100:1... just above the Jaguars and Raiders.

Can we fire Spielman already?

As far as I'm concerned, the odds are 31-1 against, just like any other year.
