Because?

Because Spielman is dragging this out.

Because Spielman is dragging this out.

If Zimmer is not signed today, he will be leaving Minnesota and Speilman will hire Todd Bowles instead most likely

Check this site out, it will be updating all day. Has a pic of Zimmer leaving the airport in Cincinnati, and also a video of him arriving in Minnesota.

Who knows. I don't think Bowles is the answer here. I like Zimmer's demeanor and think he will get the most out of this team in the shortest amount of time. He always has a good defense, and if he brings in the right OC, and we get the right QB, this team can turnaround quick. That's what Spielman needs to keep his job, and that is what the Wilf's need to put asses in the new stadium.

If they don't sign Zimmer I would take that as a sign they are waiting on Roman.

We would have a really cool name we could use "Roman's Legions" HA! HA!

As I have said before it is too bad that we couldn't hire Dick LeBeau as our head coach. I think age is the only reason he doesn't get a gig. I would love to have him to work over our D and then hire Norv Turner as our OC. Turner is an offensive guru and while not a very good head coach he would do wonders for our QBs and our offense IMO.

Only problem is that if Dick LeBeau gets fired or retire, Norv would possibly become the Vikings head coach, no thanks!

I wouldn't want that either but he is a great OC and if LeBeau can turn around the D we could be scary good in the next few years.

Or Bevell or Del Rio or Gase or Quinn!?

Time is ticking by though, Senior Bowl is coming, our roster, free agents, and draft picks need to be sorted through, and the longer we wait the more assistants and coordinators that will be off the market as well. Hate to make a rushed decision, but hate to keep waiting too!?!

I am not worried about it unless Zimmer wants full control and Speilman refuses to give Zimmer full control so he packs his bags and leave Minnesota

I hear ya. It's now down to us and the Browns looking for a HC. While we would have pick of the crop over the Browns, we don't know who the other new coaches are going to hire for their staffs. Not to mention that Spielman already said that the Senior Bowl is not a deadline to have a coach in place, although it would be ideal.

Wouldn't it be funny if Spielman waited and didn't hire Zimmer so he could talk to those other coaches just to hear that Quinn is going to the Browns and the others want to remain with their current teams and see what becomes available next year? Then they go back to Zimmer and he says no thanks. Who coaches then? Musgrave. Preifer, maybe Singletary? Lol, if it ever happened, my guess is it would happen to the Vikings.

Lol... Does anyone want to coach the Browns? First McDaniels and now Bowles.. Funny shit man.

In other interesting news:

Todd Bowles removed his name from consideration for the Browns job so Josh McDaniels and Todd Bowles does not want the Browns job, I do not blame them, if I got the job, I would have been worried about my job security all year since the Browns fired their coach only after 1 year

Dick LeBeau is old enough to be Mike Tomlin's grandfather. Why would he want the insanity of being the head coach in Minny? I think this guy will finish off his career as the Steeler's DC and then take a well deserved retirement.

I still don't think Zimmer will sign today, and this just kind of confirms that feeling for me.

http://http://nfltraderumors.co/vikings-head-coach-rumors/

Now that the Lions and Titans filled their vacancies, I really think Spielman will take his sweet ass time now that it's down to the Browns and Vikings needing head coaches. It probably won't, but I hope this somehow comes back to bite Spielman in the ass.

I wish Spielman would get shit canned, I don't like the guy. He fucked Miami up and had a hand in messing the Bears up. Just shows how incapable the Wilf's were when they first bought the team. Yeah, let's hire a guy who has already fucked up 2 teams in his day.

Im lost on how they didn't bring in a new GM?? Somehow I don't see Spielman being there to see the ribbon cutting at the new stadium..

I don't agree with the hate on Spielman. He has done a decent job here in Minnesota IMHO. Yes, he whiffed on Ponder, but I think his overall record is pretty damn good. Besides, this is a thread about Zimmer... not Spielman. ;)

Looks like we may be waiting a little while on the announcement. Zimmer is expected to be here until Thursday.

some just love to hate, Nodak. There will be plenty who will hate our next head coach by week three next year if we are not 3-0.

Zimmer has said that he has not offered the job yet but if the Vikings do not offer him the job tomorrow, he is good as gone
