Nah, they won't cost taxpayers a dime. This was all figured into the original proposal that was voted on.

The only skyways that the stadium bill required were skyways connecting the parking ramps to the stadium. These are additional skyways being proposed to connect the ramps to the rest of downtown.

The title of the article is intentional misleading. It implies that some new tax would be needed for the skyways. In reality, it would be paid for by the MSFA, which is funded in part by the City, State, and the Vikings, and this funding was already established as part of the stadium bill. In fact, the Vikings are the only entity to have made a financial contribution to date, with their initial $50 million. So...

By by all means, read the title of an article instead of actually researching the topic in order to make a snap judgement that confirms a predetermined bias about the stadium. Don't let silly facts get in the way.
