After trading up to get Morris Claiborne it appears the Cowboys are trying to recoup some picks by trading cornerback Mike Jenkins. Jenkins, a first round draft pick out of South Florida in 2008, has an expiring contract worth a little over $1m remaining.

I'd be willing to give this guy a shot. He's fallen out of favor at times in Dallas, but is young and talented. He'll be motivated after Dallas phased him out this offseason. With the limited time and money remaining on his deal and our surplus of picks, this is a low-risk high-reward situation.

So long as we don't give up our third rounder this year(or sacrifice our ability to move up into the second again,) I'd be pretty happy with him.

edit: I guess I should include a source.

Im guessing hes wants a good lookin contract after this season, I wouldnt mind if the price to get him isnt high and he doesnt want a contract that puts us over the cap. Then again he have a one year deal like the rest of the team so maybe we trade and keep his 1mil this year then let him go.

I say give up a 4th or 5th rounder this year and a conditional pick next year.. keep him at corner or move him to safety... that would clear up a lot of our secondary problems....

Saw that yesterday, really hope we swing a 4th or 5th for him. Heck, we may even be able to get him for a 6th the way some trades are going.

I would be willing to give up a 5th for him and send them AA.

Let's see how the 2nd and 3rd go -- I'd rather draft a CB that we can keep on a rookie contract for a few years than have to shell this guy out the dough next year. *Cough* Janoris Jenkins *Cough*

I would have no problem at all trying to pick this guy up for the right price.

There is NO CHANCE AT ALL that we can get Janoris Jenkins by the way.
