You can get them on the raiders site or at reebok.com

Just figured I'd let all my fellow Moss fans know.

Moss has always been my favorite player since he came into the league and even at Marshall. He's the reason I started watchin the Vikes so i had to buy this jersey. He's the man no matter where he's playing. :rr:

Funk dat! I'm going to buy a Culpepper jersey that I've been wanting to get for like 3-4 years now!

Moss was the only current player that I had, but I still wear the John Randle and Randall Cunningham occasionally. And I play in the Cris Carter I've had since 94.

I can understand and appreciate your love for Moss and the fact that you're buying his Raiders jersey, but I would hope you are still Vikings fans!

Of course I'll always be a Vikes fan. Vikes first, Moss second.

Slightly off topic but what is the general opinion in the US of wearing other teams jersey's.

I know there's quite a few in the UK who are happy to wear jerseys other than the team they support.

I could not contemplate wearing anything other than a Vikes jersey, it would just feel wrong.

BTW any news on when the Napoleon Harris jersey goes on sale :)

Hm, interesting thought, ElBarto. My uncle hails from Liverpool (and he played semi-pro football (soccer)), so I know quite distinctively what that is like.

American football isn't anything like soccer in Europe. I think, as Americans, we're a bit more fickle than the hooligans and die-hards soccer fans. Most of us have alliegance to one team, but the marketing of the NFL keeps all teams and the best players in your face at all times.

Plus, there are so many parts of the US not represented by their own team that, like many of the fans on this forum, they tend to "adopt" teams from far away, as well as ones close to them.

I might get razzed for wearing a Bear or Viking jersey to work, but if I wore a Mike Vick or Tom Brady jersey, most wouldn't look to the other way, or, as occasionally happens in England, pick a fight with me.

Man, honestly I think that is a bad idea to buy the Raiders version. Many Minnisotans are bitter about the trade...if you live in Minnesota I don't know if many people will take kindly to the presentation of that jersy on your back.

Belive me, if the vikings dont start signing some players i swear im going to goto every game on my season ticket list next year with number #18 in silver and black and i dont care what anyone says, my step dad is one of the major sponsers for the vikes and twolves down here in minneapolis and im not going to let my favorite player of all time get traded without a little freedom of speech, ya hear? :)

But still, ill be cheering for the vikes, but still, moss has been the best reciever i've seen play in the dome in a long, long time, and i'd say 7 years deserves more respect then a trade, so frick mcombs and everyone who says moss had to go,cuz he didnt, we just needed an owner who would open up his checkbook, i cant wait till red is gone..

Atleast we still got culpepper...daunte will still be able to light it up, but seriously, it just wont be the same.. I remember the christmas eve game, gosh, that was the most exciting atmospere ever, and when randy moss was the last one intruduced, its only fitting, because it was his last game in the dome..

Go vikes, but straight up, #84 in purple and gold forever..

You can be the first ElBarto..., make your own Harris jersey. The top one is authentic and a little pricey.

Authentic home and away (at bottom).

btw what kind of response do you get wearing an NFL jersey (and Vikings) on that side of the pond?

I'll be getting a Moss raiders jersey (or three!!). But my allegiance (sp?) isn't switching to another team, EVER!!

Won't ever buy a Raider jersey, no matter who the player is.
Randy Moss was a Viking, the premier WR in the league. Now he's gone.
Get on the Mike Williams from USC bandwagon....

Randy was (is) such a recluse, you could never get him to sign anything. I remember him scurrying from the practice facility to his dorm on his bike in Mankato. This way he wouldn't be cornered by anyone. Maybe he is kind of germo-phobic, or atleast people-o-phobic.

VKG4LFE

Well, he is afraid of germs. Did you see that ESPN the magazine article on him a few months ago?

The only way I would wear another team's jersey, especially a Raiders one, is if I lost a bet. I may like several players but I only support one team and I only wear one team's colors.

I will continue to wear my #84 purple and gold whether it's assigned to a player or not. It hasn't been a Moss jersey since I pulled his name off after the loss to the Giants in the championship game.

Anyone who wears a #18 silver and black really is what those colors represent, a traitor.

I too will continue to wear my Moss jeresy. But, I only were the Purple and Gold! This is the best way to remember his legacy in MN!

randy--moss
03-06-2005, 06:24 PM
Doesnt mean im a traitor if i wear a moss jersey, he is my favorite player, and are you calling me a traitor for investing money in season tickets for the vikings, a jersey is for a player, not a team, i hate the raiders, but yet i will still wear number 18 because he has been a cornerstone in our organization for the past 7 years.. and he will still be my favorite player even if he is on another team.. If i was one to say im going to move to oakland and start wearing moss jerseys and rooting for the silver and black, then you could call me a traitor, but im not, im still rooting for the vikes... case closed,

heh.. :)

A jersey absolutely reresents the team. They are just marketed for the players. Without the players everyone would only own the home and away jersey.

By wearing the Raider jersey you are placing Moss above the Vikings. I'm not calling you a traitor, yet  , I just know how the pattern starts.

First you buy a Raiders jersey.

Next you start watching Raider games to watch Randy

Then you start rooting for Moss to make the big plays

Before you know it, you're supporting the Raiders(secont to the Vikes of course)

It's just my opinion though, and I mean no disrespect, I just think those still loyal to Moss can continue to show it by wearing the #84 instead of the colors of the AFC's trash team. :)

i hear ya man,ill prolly just still wear my #84 anyway, i know what your sayin though

erm....I don't, most people don't have a clue what it is. Only once has anybody noticed it and said "do you support the Vikings" but he was a Colts fan so it didn't count

I kinda lke the idea that the NFL isn't popular over here.....it makes me feel special

i know what you mean about feeling special elbarto! i havent got myself a jersey yet but will do soon enough, but at least there's 3 of us special ones, me you and anglo vike. i know one other english person here who likes the sport, but apart from that no one even really seems to know what it is but the general impression seems to be that its some kind of rugby with padding.

I've usually more time for people when they don't wear the old standard shirts ie Redskins, Cowboys & 49ers - as it usually means that they actually know something about the sport. Recently I did see a guy in town wearing a Texans shirt and cap so there's a rarity !

For Redskins, Cowboys, 49ers add Tom Brady jerseys, I've seen a fair few of them **cough bandwaggoners cough**

According to the Raiders website, the Randy Moss jersey is only available in Large at the moment.

If the footage of Raider fans I've seen is indicative of their general fan base, then larges they do not need.

In short, we're going to need a bigger boat.
