By Mike Florio

Rosenthal recently pointed out that Vikings receiver Percy Harvin wasnít on the field for nearly half of Minnesotaís offensive snaps in a 24-20 loss to the Buccaneers. On Wednesday, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier defended the decision to give Harvin reduced reps.

ďThereís nothing he has to prove,Ē Frazier said, per Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com. ďWe know what Percyís capable of doing. Heís a big-time playmaker, whether itís on kickoff return or playing wide receiver. Itís just a matter of our using his strengths to our greatest advantage, to our teamís advantage and picking out spots when we do that.Ē

Quarterback Donovan McNabb agrees. ďA lot of people talked about the percentage and the plays,Ē McNabb said. ďI felt like he was on the field all the time with us, because every time I look up, heís either getting the ball or whatever it may have been.Ē

Maybe if our best receiver played in the second half we would win. Is this a joke? Why don't we take Peterson out the second half too?

As Vikings try to get offense going, putting Harvin on field more will be part of the plan

ó The Minnesota Vikings are trying to put wide receiver Percy Harvin on the field more.

In case anyone missed it....

Bill Musgrave, though, said Harvin is one of the teamís best blockers and is not by any means automatically out when the Vikings want to run.

Well, we should be seeing improvement every week. And we will need to see it this week if we are going to compete.

I wonder if they are still asking the players what they like to do the best and if they are still matching the scheme to fit the players.

......snicker........

In the end I'm still with my good friend Purple Floyd on this one........We will just keep getting better each and every week. For some strange reason I think this is gonna be the week we see it all finally click, and not just for a portion of the game.

Really Donovan? Maybe when you "look up" you might try getting the ball to him more. sheeesh

Here is a thought coach. How about in the second half of the game.

Is Leslie Frazier, Brad Childress Version 2.0?

Whatís worse is Frazier is okay with it. "Itís just a matter of our using his strengths to our greatest advantage, to our teamís advantage and picking out spots when we do that," said Frazier (via ESPN) when discussing Harvinís role.

Hello, one of his strengths isnít sitting on the sidelines watching the Vikingsí sorry collection of wide receivers and tight ends trying to get in the end zone.

I know its a Bleacher Report, but damn, isn't it a bit early for the "Honeymoon" to be over already.

Why do you read that crap?
Oh wait. I should only read stuff by reputable sources like "Fox" sports.....

Gimme a break. Reading BR is just like reading any of the other drivel that is out there, including posters of stuff just like me.

Credible? No, interesting at times? Yes.

Not quite. Bleacher Report writers do not have press passes to events, accesses to players, newswires, etc... they are writing based on hear-say, conjecture and opinion.

At least on a site like this, it's understood that this is a forum. Bleacher Report tries to pass of their articles as... well... articles.

Two things,

1. BR doesn't try to pass off anything as anything. I think if you read their stuff you will find out that its geared up to be more like SBnation instead of some newspaper rag.

2. Fox Sports has all kinds of 'press passes" and professional writers. Look at what they just got caught doing recently.

Again, reputable? Probably not, but just like us on here, some of their stuff has some very interesting discussion points.

When did I even bring up FOX Sports? When do I quote FOX sports?

You didn't. They are just the most recent "Reputable" source that got caught with their shorts down and I used them.

I gather by your question you don't consider them reputable then.

The thread about FOX Sports was locked because of me. And no, I don't consider them a reputable source for any sort of news.

I wonder if he is actually still having medical (migrane) problems & they're trying to keep it "low pro" being that last year his health was an issue almost every week....
