Still not sure why people question his 1. Arm Strenght, 2. Pocket Awareness.

I for one don't question his arm stregnth however I can answer his pocket awareness. I am only judging by preseason games and keep in mind the OL plainly sucks. Ponder did not look good a tall in most of his plays staying in the pocket. His throws were often inaccurate and rushed from what I remember. I can't view the videos here but that was my assessment when watching the games.

Pocket awareness and production in the pocket are two seperate discussion points IMHO.

Production will come over time as he gets reps, awareness, IMHO, is something that can't be taught.

Edit....On a side note, good to see you putting out quality posts agian my friend. :)

I personally don't like seeing him run that much and expected him to hang in there a little tougher than he has so far. We have a great RB and the last thing we need is for the QB to rival the RB in either yards or carries.

OTOH there were obviously some WR's that were running the wrong routes resulting in 2 WR's being in the same zone and bunching the defenders up rather than spreading them out and that gave no place to throw the ball.

He will be a good QB. It is just going to take some reps and get some experience under his belt. Good things come to those who wait.:)
