As you all know, the 2011 NFL schedule will be released in about 26 minutes...

What I have heard so far is that the Vikings will have 2 prime time games. They will also most likely be on the road the first week. As you hear other information, post it here.

Schedules' out

@ chargers 4:15
vs bucs
vs. Lions
@ Chiefs
vs Cards
@ Bears SNF
vs. Pack 4:15 (possible flex game)
@ Panthers
Bye
@ Pack MNF
vs. Raiders
@ Falcons
vs. Broncos 4:05
@ Lions
vs. Saints
@ Redskins
vs. Bears

So looks like we get one coldweather game, @ Redskins on New Years

Also interesting is there are two home 4:00 games. Perhaps they're thinking these could be potential flex games for Sunday Night Football, as we're not a western team, so we don't need to play at 4.

Nice and balanced. Home games spread out, only 1 maybe 2 snow games, Not too many tough games in a row.

I like it

I'm digging this schedule... I think the Bears, Bucs, Falcons, Chiefs, and Saints are all gonna have down years. Don't ask me why.

I'd assume he's just making an observation. A lot more informative than a post consisting of "And?".

So does this mean there will be football next year?

I really like this schedule. Nice mid season bye week and on top of that I only miss one game which is great.

So does this mean there will be football next year?

No, the NFL is making preparations as if there will be a season just in case something happens.

I'd say they're making preparations because they expect to reach an agreement.

They won't miss a game.

Nice looking schedule and would love to get over for either the Packers game or the Broncos... now to see how the missus feels about that

There will be games played. Just who will be playing those games is yet to be determined.

I like this schedule much more than last years. Week 9 buy is much better than week 4.
The chargers always start slow, the vikings get a break playing them early.
Facing the packers after out of the bye week gives us an edge.
Saints in MN week 15, hopefully we can finally give them the ass whoopin they richly deserve. The last two games have been close, and in NO.

Last year our non-division opponents had a combined previous season record of 89-71.
This year our non-division opponents had a combined previous season record of 78-82.
Last year, including division games, our opponents had a combined previous season record of 129-127.
This year, including division games, our opponents had a combined previous season record of 132-134.

Basically the major differences are we are playing the afc west instead of the afc east and the NFC south instead of the NFC west.
Of course everyone else in the division also gets those easier divisions too. The only real advantage in the division is we play the last place teams in the east and west(washington and arizona). The Bears play the first place teams(Philly and Seattle) and Packers play the 2nd place teams(giants and st louis).

the chargers game should be interesting. They definitely won't forget how the last game between us played out.
