Any updates on the injury and how long before he is back in action?

He looked like a beast right up to that play.

Sounds like it might have been an abundance of caution, and looking to see how Gerhart can play. We'll know more tomorrow.

From AD's twitter

My ankle is doing ok! I'll know more tomorrow! After I get a full evaluation!

Adrian Peterson, Ray Edwards set for MRIs
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and defensive end Ray Edwards will both have MRIs on Monday after suffering ankle injuries today.

“I would have tried to go out there,” Peterson said, per Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com. “Trust me, if I could have went, I would have been out there. But it was just unbearable.”

I don't like that bolded statement! Gerhart is not the answer.

I guess they finally got to a point where they couldn't numb the pain anymore.

They flirt with disaster by numbing these injuries and they risk further damage, maybe serious when they do it.

Seems to be a news blackout on this injury. That can't be good.

WTF are you talking about?

Peterson has a sprained ankle and shouldn't be out for more than a week.

"I'm being told it's an ankle sprain," Frazier said, "but they're still evaluating."

WOW... That was 8 hours ago. Do you think it's still being evaluated?

He HAS a sprained right ankle.

You seem quite emotional about this, Culpepper.

Coach didn't say when they'd be done "evaluating."

I hope you're right, but in any event, no reason to get all defensive.

You didn't fall on his ankle.

Stop.

You say this literally every time one of our guys get hurt.

Have you ever stubbed your toe? Closed your finger in a door? Twisted your ankle?

It hurts a lot at first, then it goes away. You have absolutely no proof that they numb guys on the sideline, you are talking out of your ass, again, please stop it.

LOL. I love reading what you have to say.

Peterson didn't need help getting off the field so why do you think it's serious?

AD didn't reenter mostly because the Vikings had a lead and Gerhart was playing well enough to win.

Hey, hold strong to your fantasies, guys.

Far be it from me to rain on your parade.

I think the title of this thread would make a good FF team name, or maybe "Peterson's big toe."
